Surrounding the Tongting Pavilion are wind chimes with blessings written on them. These wind chimes are woven by Li ethnic women using Guanyin grass and are said to be able to prevent mosquitoes and ward off evil spirits.

There is a unique pattern on the wind chime, which is the guardian deity of the Li ethnic group - the Mighty Diamond God. This pattern consists of two parts: a cow head and a frog, both of which are the highest ranking animals in the Li family.
