I used to love watching documentaries and have been curious and longing for tropical rainforests since I was young. Many people think that tropical rainforests are only found abroad, but in fact, there are also many places to visit in China, and there is a good one in Hainan. Previously, when I went to Hainan, I mostly stayed at hotels and ate seafood.

This time, I am planning to specifically experience the tropical rainforest of Hainan - Yanoda.

About Yanoda

Yanoda Rainforest Cultural Tourism Area is located in Baoting Li and Miao Autonomous County, Hainan Province, only 35 kilometers away from Sanya City and 52 kilometers away from Phoenix Airport. It is a tropical rainforest located at 18 ° north latitude and a concentrated collection of the five major tropical rainforest treasures on Hainan Island. It is a highly ornamental tropical rainforest resource exhibition hall. Here, with unique mountains, lush forests, beautiful waters, and deep valleys, it can be called a fairyland on earth and a paradise on earth.

Yanoda is the meaning of one, two, and three in the local dialect of Hainan. Scenic spots give them the meanings of innovation, commitment, and practice, and together they mean welcome, hello, friendship, and blessings.

The staff of the scenic area all wore smiles and made scissor gestures with their right hand, making a cute "Yanoda" sound.

The Waterfall Treading Experience

It embarks on an adventure up the 1.2-kilometer-long, 200-meter-high Dream Valley. As you gear up with straw sandals and a helmet, professional instructors will guide your journey to tackling nine levels of difficulty, where you will rapidly navigate through challenging cascading waterfalls  to emerge victorious.

In the second level, Lingbo takes a gentle step and connects two cable bridges in a row with tires in a pool of water. It sinks 20-30 centimeters to the bottom of the water, and people need to steadily step on the tires with their feet to pass through. Mastering balance is crucial in this level. The first experience will have a trembling and leisurely feeling, which is also a process of exercising one's balance ability.

The third level is to cross the blockade line. The bottom of the valley is covered with gravel and a net is covering it. The low level requires people to crawl through the net, and it is generally easy to pass.

After about an hour of wading through the water, I finally reached the most important destination of this journey. I climbed the waterfall at the last level and grabbed the iron rope from the bottom to the top.

Wa'ailu Glass Viewing Platform

Hainan's first cantilevered glass platform, which extends 365 meters, with a maximum height of nearly 200 meters above the ground. Perched on the picturesque ridges of Wuzhi Mountain at an elevation of 450 meters, this platform offers a spectacular view of Haitang Bay. Enhanced with 5D "shattering" visual effects, it delivers a heart-stopping experience and serves as an ideal setting for creating dramatic social media content.

The High-Flying Zipline

The High-Flying Zipline traverses the rainforest canopy, covering 608 meters in a single stretch, with an elevation drop of up to 70 meters. Gliding at a speed of 3 m/s offers the sensational feeling of flying and the opportunity to behold the tropical rainforest from a bird's-eye view.

Rainforest Valley

Rainforest Valley is centered around showcasing the pristine tropical rainforest landscape, featuring towering banyan trees, century old vines, "living fossils" of black fern, giant fairy grass Ganoderma lucidum, "cold-blooded killer" of the bloodthirsty throat, wild betel nuts, and six wonders of the tropical rainforest. The rainforest valley is lush, covering the sky and sun, with excellent ecology. It is a unique and huge "natural oxygen bar" and negative oxygen ion generator. The average annual temperature here is 24 degrees Celsius, and walking in the rainforest can feel the refreshing coolness. Rainforest Valley is a 3.5 kilometer long tourist passage composed of high-quality wooden boardwalks, wild stone steps, and suspension bridges, divided into three circular routes: large, medium, and small, to meet the travel needs of various groups of people.

The swing extends 8 meters from the edge, offering a swing arc of up to 150° and a swing diameter reaching 20 meters. This experience is akin to gliding above the rainforest canopy, bolstered by nine levels of safety measures. It provides a vast 270° perspective of the mountainous and oceanic splendor.
